Veritas Medicolegal is a specialist medico-legal practice founded by Dr Iyad Dayoub and Dr Heng Tan, providing independent medical examinations, fitness-for-work assessments, motor vehicle accident assessments, complex catastrophic injury assessments, and income protection and TPD assessments. The practice works at the intersection of medicine and law, with a deep panel of specialists covering occupational medicine, neurology, orthopaedics, psychiatry, pain medicine and more. The site needed to reach legal teams and insurers with the kind of confidence that makes a referral easy.
The brief, captured in DeCODE’s 2023 Brand Development and Website Proposal, was to develop branding and a website for a brand that was being launched fresh. The proposal walked through the four key pillars of the brand identity, Independent, Trusted, Impartial and Well Versed in the Law, and committed to a design strategy that would be clean, elegant and aligned with the inspiration the founders had brought to the briefing. Cyber security and patient data protection were called out as priorities given the sensitive nature of medico-legal work, and the build needed to integrate with the MEDirect platform for ISO 27001 compliant online bookings.
The structure presents the deep specialist panel with the seriousness referrers need to see. Each medical specialty area is given its own treatment, with the kind of depth that lets a personal injury lawyer or insurer match the right specialist to the right matter. The independent and impartial positioning runs through the copy, which is critical because the entire value proposition rests on Veritas being seen as outside the influence of any one side of a legal dispute.
Visually the brand sits in a sophisticated dark teal and gold palette that consciously walks the line between medical and legal professionalism. The tagline “Medically sound. Legally strong.” captures the brand positioning in five words. Typography is restrained and serif-led, with a layout that feels closer to a top-tier law firm than a standard medical practice, which is the right register for a business serving legal and insurance audiences.
The MEDirect booking integration handles the operational side, with secure online bookings that meet the ISO 27001 compliance referrers need. New patient and new referrer enquiry flows are separated cleanly so different audiences see the path that is right for them. Contact pathways for legal teams, insurers and individual claimants are all clearly delineated.
Resource downloads and educational content support the practice with the kind of material that builds referrer loyalty over time. Practice information, the founder profiles for Dr Dayoub and Dr Tan, and the broader specialist panel all sit visibly in the site architecture so referrers can do their due diligence before making a referral.
The result is a medico-legal site that earns trust from the legal and insurance audiences it serves. It carries the dual-discipline positioning with seriousness, gives referrers the depth they need to specify a specialist, and quietly handles the compliance and booking infrastructure that keeps the practice running.
