Secret Italia engaged DeCODE Digital to reimagine their website as a refined digital gateway to Italy, designed to speak to an international audience while preserving the authenticity and local knowledge that defines the brand.

The brief was clear: retain the strong structural foundations already in place, but completely refresh the front-end experience. The existing site contained rich content and exceptional imagery, but navigation, presentation, and user flow needed refinement to better guide visitors and encourage enquiries.

A design-led rebuild with purpose

The new Secret Italia website places visual storytelling at its core. The design was rebuilt to showcase Italy’s warmth, character, and diversity, using a refreshed colour palette, considered typography, and immersive imagery that draws visitors into the experience from the moment they arrive.

Navigation was restructured to make exploring tours and destinations intuitive and effortless, allowing users to browse based on interest, location, and experience type without feeling overwhelmed.

Tours and locations made easy to explore

A major focus of the build was improving how tours and locations are presented and discovered. We developed custom content structures for both, supported by filters and search functionality that allow users to find experiences that suit their travel style.

Each tour and location includes clear calls to action and streamlined enquiry forms, making it easy for visitors to connect directly with the Secret Italia team without disrupting the browsing experience.

Built for flexibility and growth

The site was built on WordPress with a flexible content management system, allowing the Secret Italia team to easily update tours, locations, imagery, and content as offerings evolve. Existing booking system integrations were retained and refined to ensure continuity and reliability.

SEO foundations were applied throughout the rebuild, including improved page structure, metadata, redirects, and indexing, supporting long-term visibility across international search markets.

The result is a website that feels immersive, considered, and easy to use. Secret Italia now has a digital platform that reflects the quality of their experiences, supports global enquiries, and provides a strong foundation for future growth.
