Gourmet and More is a family-owned WA-based wholesale distributor of gourmet foods and confectionery, supplying independent retailers across Western Australia for more than twenty years from a warehouse in O’Connor. The portfolio runs deep across more than seventy brands, including household names like Ritter Sport, Anthon Berg, Milka, Walkers, Niederegger, Knorr and Kuhne, along with specialty European and Australian product across bakery, deli and dairy, confectionery, grocery and pet care. They are a long-standing client, and this build was the latest in a series of iterations over a multi-year relationship.
The brief was to rebuild the site as a serious B2B wholesale portal. The old site had served its purpose, but the brand needed a digital home that matched the breadth of the product range and worked properly for trade buyers who order from the catalogue regularly. The new site needed an Apply for an Account gate, secure login-protected ordering, full category browsing, and a brand directory that did justice to the seventy-plus brands they stock.
The structure splits along two browsing patterns: by product category (Bakery, Deli and Dairy, Confectionery, Grocery and Pet Care) and by brand, with each brand getting its own landing page that showcases the range and gives retailers a clean reference point. The Brands directory page is genuinely impressive, an alphabetical wall of every brand they distribute, each with its own pop-up or detail view, which gives the site real authority in a category where range depth is the differentiator.
The standout custom feature is the Find a Local WA Stockist form. Consumers who can’t find a Gourmet and More product locally can submit a request, and the team will approach independent grocers in their area to range the product on their behalf. This neatly turns a consumer enquiry into a sales lead for a wholesale account, a clever piece of two-sided market design built directly into the site.
Visually the build sits in a clean, professional palette that puts the product photography first. A WooCommerce backbone supports the wholesale ordering with custom account management, while the front end stays browseable for both retail buyers researching their next range and consumers hunting down a specific product. A Catalogues page surfaces the latest seasonal PDFs for buyers who want the offline version.
The result is a wholesale site that takes the business seriously. It respects the breadth of the range, gives trade buyers the tools they need to order, and quietly generates new account leads through the stockist enquiry flow.
